Katie A. Custer, a native Houstonian, earned her Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Finance and Organizational Behavior and Business Policy, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from SMU, Katie worked for American Airlines and Southwest Airlines as a financial analyst. After returning to Houston in 2004, Katie received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

She began working for Donn Fullenweider as a law clerk, and upon admission to the State Bar of Texas in 2007, joined the firm an associate attorney in November 2007. Katie is rapidly proving herself as a talented and compassionate family law attorney. She is a skilled law researcher and provides invaluable assistance to Donn Fullenweider and the other attorneys in the preparation of trial briefs, State Bar papers and articles.

Katie's practice focuses on divorce proceedings, pre-marital and post-marital agreements, complex property characterization, valuation and division, child support modifications, modification of visitation and parental rights, enforcement of court orders and adoptions.

As a law student, Katie served on the Board of Directors of Prevent Child Abuse Texas, served as a Child Advocate and worked in the South Texas College of Law Legal Clinic.

Ms. Custer has been named as a Rising Star by Texas Monthly Magazine in 2010 and 2011.

When Katie is not working, she enjoys traveling and running marathons.
