How a Premarital Agreement Can Protect You

Contrary to what many people believe, premarital agreements are not just for the rich. While premarital agreements are often used to protect the assets of a wealthy fiance, more-and-more couples are increasingly turning to them for different reasons. A premarital agreement is a written agreement between two people before they get married. It will usually list all of the property each fiance owns, as well as the debts each have, and specifies what each person’s property rights will be during their marriage and upon divorce or death.
