Profile

Lauren Waddell’s practice focuses exclusively on family law cases including divorce litigation, custody issues, complex property division, marital agreements, paternity actions, child support, modification actions and enforcement of prior orders.

Lauren is actively involved in leadership positions for multiple legal organizations. She currently serves as the President for the Association of Women Attorneys, the Houston women’s bar association. She has served as the President of Texas Women Lawyers and President of the Houston Bar Association, Family Law Section. Lauren is a Fellow of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation, Houston Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation. Lauren is a member of Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists.

    Lauren graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she received a business degree with a double major in Management and Economics. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she was a member of the South Texas Law Review. She is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

    Lauren has been recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine as “Super Lawyer” (2013-2017), and as both a “Top 50 Women Texas Lawyer” and a “Top 100 Houston Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine.
