Profile

Katie Custer, a native Houstonian, earned her Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Finance and Organizational Behavior and Business Policy from Southern Methodist University. After graduating, she worked for American Airlines and then for Southwest Airlines as a financial analyst. After returning to Houston in 2004, Katie received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

Katie’s financial and business background is a tremendous asset to her practice, which focuses on complex marital property characterization and valuation issues, including retirement assets, stock options, restricted stock benefits, business valuations and taxation issues. Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, she is a member of the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inns of Court and the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists. Katie is also a Fellow of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation.
